The idea to establish a charitable foundation has been brewing in our family for quite some time.
We initiated several social initiatives prior to officially registering the Foundation in July 2021. The founder was Eduard Mkrtchan, who demonstrated leadership and a commitment to realizing the team’s vision.
We introduced social and technological innovations, supported vulnerable groups of citizens, and fostered the advancement of culture, sports, and local identity. Prior to the outbreak of full-scale war, we had executed numerous projects and harbored ambitious plans for the future.
However, everything changed on February 24, 2022… Nevertheless, our team swiftly adapted to the new circumstances. Since the onset of the war, in collaboration with international partners from humanitarian missions, we have been supplying frontline communities with food and essential commodities. Additionally, we have provided construction materials, medical equipment, and ambulances to these communities. Our efforts have included the distribution of thousands of stoves, hundreds of generators, dozens of vehicles, and water purification systems.
In March 2022, Eduard Mkrtchan enlisted in the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Nonetheless, he continued to oversee the Foundation’s team and programs for over two years.
We now recognize the necessity of enhancing the Foundation’s management system to align with our plans for project expansion. Consequently, we have rebranded as the Mkrtchan Brothers Charitable Foundation.
The new name is true, as from the very beginning the Foundation was run by all three brothers – Eduard, Raphael and Aram. But it was Eduard who had the public responsibility. Now we focus on the whole family.
The Mkrtchan Brothers Foundation will increase its activity to the national level and provide support to communities and residents from different regions affected by the war.
Together with the whole of Ukraine, we are bringing the Victory closer!
